Copyright

Copyright ownership

MERGA retains copyright of its journal articles, conference proceedings, 4-year reviews of research, and other publications. Any queries about copyright should be addressed to the Vice President (Publications).

MERGA’s Copyright Agreement with CAL

MERGA is a member of the Australian Copyright Agency Limited (CAL), a not-for-profit organisation that manages licensed copying of printed works on behalf of authors and publishers. One of CAL’s functions is to distribute money collected as licence fees to copyright rights holders. In order for MERGA to claim publisher’s entitlements to CAL distribution moneys and use these funds for the benefit of our members, MERGA retains copyright of all work in its publications.
